Our little firefighters learned and reviewed fire safety with the help of Mr. Schoenberger, a firefighter/search and rescue in Fairfax County. He reviewed the emergency number 911, having a safe meeting place, how to stop, drop and roll, and what to do in the event of a fire. He also showed them all his equipment and what they used the equipment for. We had a BLAST and learned a lot!
Fire extinguishers can be very useful tools for bringing fire under control in its early stages, but it is very important to make sure you use the correct type.
