This week
the focus continues to be on name work….
·
Continue to ask your child to point to specific
letters in his/her name.
·
Ask them if they can find that same letter in a
magazine, newspaper, scrap mail, page in a book, etc.
Ex. Find the J in your name, can you find a
another j on this page?
Once they have this skill mastered, begin to have them
practice holding a pencil, pen, marker, or any writing material you have access
to and have them trace over their name that you have already written for
them. Have them practice saying the
letters as they write them.
This week
the oral language review is to continue to memorize the poem The Wheels on the
Bus….
The wheels on
the bus go round and round,
round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round
and round,
all through the town.
·
Practice taking turns saying a line from the song
·
Have your child guess what word comes next in the
poem
·
If you stop,
have them finish the song where you left off.
Feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions you might have and I will definitely write you back!
