Sight Words
This week we worked on learning 3 sight words.  We read them, found them on the word wall, used them in our writing journals and even did some cheers while spelling our words.  This week’s words to practice are:

REMINDERS: August 29

A few REMINDERS: August 29

Tomorrow is library day.  In order for your child to get a new book, they must bring back their old book.
Homework will start next TUESDAY!  Please be looking for that in their communication folders.
It does get chilly in our classroom.  If you want to send in a light jacket or sweatshirt for your child, that is allowed.

Counting

We have been busy learning all about the numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5 this week.  Today we made ten frames using our bodies!  Can you guess what numbers we were representing in the pictures???  We then made ten frames on paper.  Tomorrow we will practice representing numbers with our ten frames and bears.  Building a strong foundation of number sense will ensure continued success in future years!

Later this week, we will practice writing the numbers 1-5.  Happy Counting!

Pawsitively Awesome!

We are P.R.Ring with pride!
Check out our compliment from Mrs. Lewter!

Keep up the great work wildcats!

This is Cameron.  She is our star helper of the week.  Her favorite color is purple.  She likes to eat spaghetti and she likes to play the game duck-duck-goose.

Each week we will have a different star helper of the week.  They will be featured just like Cameron!  Happy Monday!

Kindergarteners are a Treasure

Welcome to Kindergarten, where we are PRICELESS!
This year I am using a Pirate theme for our classroom.  What fun!  Attached I have pictures from around the room that relate to the pirate theme.  I am very excited to work with each and every one of my students this year!  It's going to be an adventure, and a good one to boot! (just some pirate humor)

We also have a special place to put ALL our pirate paws we earn.  Once they get 10 pirate paws, they get to look for treasure!  The entire class also has the chance to help earn gold coins.  Once we have earned 30 gold coins, we earn a surprise for the entire class!  AARRGH, earn the gold!
